Abbey Antiques is a rapidly expanding enthusiastic team.  We are the first to admit we are an eclectic bunch drawn together by the unique world of eBay.  We all mix and match our various functions within the company, but the following summary will give you some idea of our primary duties.

Richard W
abbey's longest serving employee.  He joined up with his brother, Gary, in 1993.  Richard is responsible for all furniture descriptions, and oversees the day to day running of the business.  His greatest talent without doubt is his natural cooking ability.  The abbey staff takes it in turns to cook for each other, and Richard's lunches are the most looked forward to.  He also doubles up as a delivery driver, and is well known to many of our customers.  He has two sons, Kyle and Joel.   He is an accomplished antique restorer, which helps him to describe our furniture in great detail with a good insight into each pieces past life

Anthony B, Web designer & Photographer
came to abbey in 1999.  He is a qualified surveyor, and has drawn up the plans for our new HQ, which opened in 2006.  Ant is our chief photographer, and is without doubt one of the best photographers on eBay.  His photographs say more than words can, and attract many compliments from our customers.  He studied at Leeds University.  He also assists on the delivery runs, and is often to be found out and about with Richard.  One of our lady customers calls him the "cute one"

Claire, Office Manager
has worked for abbey for two periods.  From 1993 -2001 and then again from 2002.  As Office Manager she is the powerhouse behind abbey, and is the best known point of contact with our customers.  She works long hours, and answers the phone at such unusual times that she is often thought to be Gary's partner.  She should be so lucky.  The collection and delivery service is her brainchild, and it now occupies about 80% of her time at work.  She deals with customer billing, payments, queries, and masses of paperwork.  She is a keen equestrian, and rides her horse whenever she is allowed to leave her computer.

Debbie, Ebay Sales
is our local girl; she lives just up the road.  Debbie is an accomplished office manager.  She works in our audio-typing department, and is also our most accomplished packer.  She does the descriptions for many of our paintings and smaller items.  There is nothing she does not know about each department.  Debbie is allowed time off work to look after her two teenage boys.  She is also a keen equestrian, and she has plenty to talk about with Claire

Vanessa, Courier Administrator
Has now rejoined our team, for a short period she left the abbey team but has now rejoined with two job descriptions!. For half the week you will find behind her desk catching up on her emails and logistics work. The other half she will be getting her hands dirty keeping the abbey garden neat and tidy. We are glad to have you back in the team.

Jo, Courier Sales
joined abbey in September 2003 , but has come with a single superb qualification.  She is an eBay seller in her own right, and has single-handedly amassed over 2000 positive feedbacks with no negatives.  Jo has now joined our collection and delivery side of the business and is loving every moment of it.

Kelly, Ebay Sales Manager
is our sales manager.  She handles all matters relating to eBay sales, and is a main point of contact with our online ebay customers

Justine, PA
is now on her second tour of duty with abbey.  Her duties have included photography, audio typing and office duties.  She is currently adminstering all the daily fleet operations, and studying hard for her CPC
